I've finally completed the American Crafts photo album. I'm so pleased with it. It's gorgeous to look through even without the actual photos - which I'm sure will be added at some point. Anyway, I won't bore you with a picture heavy post about this - there may be a post in the future which shows some favourite pages from it - but I'll show you one layout which seems to stick out to me when i flick through. Love.

I decided to make a couple of mini folders/books today. Cute! Not sure what they'll be used for or if they'll even stay with me. Again, measures 4x4" medium weight chipboard and is covered with fabric.

This is a project I've been dying to start on for a while. So today was the day. It's going to be a loose art folder - to keep bits and bobs in. Love it already! I know the pictures aren't great but for now they'll do! It measures 12x12" and it's made from medium weight chipboard and is covered with fabrics.

This is really interesting to see. It's so strange how it changes completely.

It's coming along- Still loads of work to do on this. I'm really liking pen work right now. I'm loving outlining everything. Which is probably going to get old fast. Man... I really don't want the next couple of posts to turn into painting progress posts.

Mess of colours

This is a painting I did a couple of months ago done from left over paints from a canvas piece which I have just found again hanging out on my shelf. Today I just added some flowers with a white Signo pen. I really like this. It's happy and pleasing to the eye. What to do with it...

What am I doing now?

I confuse myself. I am currently in the middle of so many different projects using so many different art styles that I'm confused as to what is my real calling. I'm knitting, playing around with embroidery, art journaling, painting, card making, dabbling in needle craft, fabric flower making, working with tags, making mini albums - the list goes on! It's outrageous. I can't help but test out everything I lay my eyes on. The right thing to do? Maybe. Maybe not.

Spending Money

So today I spent a bit of money - big surprise! I finally got the Sizzix Texture boutique. I love this and I love that it came with a bunch for extra stuff like cards, rub ons, embossing folders and textured papers! I was using my brayer with the few embossing folders I had bought which worked pretty good for me - but having this will save so much time and I'm just super excited to play around with it. I just need more folders now! More money spending!

A couple of weeks go I bought a cupcake mini album and today I finally got around to finishing it. I bought a bunch of cupcake related embellishments and papers. I also went out of my way to pick up come cupcake stamps. I pretty happy with the finished album. Most of the pages look good enough to eat!

Journal

Some pages in my journal just waiting to be worked on. I made these using some leftover paint on a baby wipe from a canvas piece I've been working on. I hate to waste paint, so I'll use as much as I can to create a really simple background in my journal - mainly, so I'm not starting on a completely blank page. As you can see, there's some subtle circles on there already, of course. Hopefully all three of these will be finished in the next couple of days.
